Police Chief's
Message

Hello, I am Little Falls Police Chief Greg Schirmers.
On Behalf of the men and women of the Little Falls Police
Department, welcome to our website. Our goal is to
provide you with timely and relevant information about current
events happening in our community, the services we provide,
and ultimately give you an understanding of who we are.
We want you to visit our site often, and I welcome your
feedback regarding this website, your concerns, interests, and
suggestions.
Our police officers are an essential part of our
community and their presence, whether on patrol or working in
specialized assignments such as our school resource officer
program, are aimed at ensuring a safe and peaceful community.
So when you see our officers out and about in the
community, remember that they are there for you;
responding to people in need, ensuring public safety,
participating in community events and enforcing the law.
Ultimately, our success depends on a strong partnership with
the community we serve. All of our efforts are aimed at
making Little Falls a better and safer place for all of us to
live, work and visit.
The Little Falls Police Department consists of 13 full time
sworn officers, 7 part time sworn officers and 2
dispatchers/record personnel serving approximately 8,400
citizens. We provide 24-hour police services to our
residents. We take great pride in the relationship we
have with our partner agencies; the Morrison County Sheriff's
Office, Minnesota State Patrol and Randall, Royalton, Motley,
Long Prairie and Staples Police Departments.
Various assignments within the department consist of K-9
Handlers, Narcotics Investigator, Arson Investigator, School
Resource Officer, Morrison County Dive & Rescue Team,
Critical Incident Response Team and Technology
Coordinator. We also participate in projects such as
Meals on Wheels, Safe & Sober and H.E.A.T. (High
Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic).
The police department lobby hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m., Monday through Friday and 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Wednesday through Sunday. Our office is located at 207 First
Street Northeast.
Please feel free to contact myself, or any other officer
regarding concerns, comments or questions. You are
